I don't know if this is going to work - first video effort. I also don't know how many of you have seen this clip - it is of a parks ranger somewhere in Africa being mauled. If this doesn't work, and you have all seen this, please let me know so I can stop trying and delete this thread. Thanks

This has been shown before, but don't let this stop you. IMO, I think the latest vid link is clearer and less pixelated than the others. Continue posting stuff that's of interest.

Thanks RayRay

Incredible footage on that link, quite savage - I won't show it to my mum!
I was waiting for one of those tossers in the landrovers right at the beginning to hit an antbear hole! Bet those zebras would have laughed long and loud!

Mr Moderator, should I delete this?

Wow,

I suppose the moral of the story is don't poke big cats with sticks!!

I thought it was interesting to see how the cat steadied him self on the sill then went at the guy with his front feet more than trying to bite him. Similar to the description in some books on how they pin down their target then try and disembowel by wheeling their back legs.

Yeah, thanks for posting that; I've never seen it before. thumb

It would seem to me only an idiot would poke a leopard with a stick in the first place, let alone get upset when it attacked him. The man's injuries didn't look too severe. Was he eventually OK?

Yeah, only an idiot for sure. I think the guy was fine - just a few very deep scratches. He was very lucky that the leopard slipped first time around. If it had had more time, it would have done a thorough job, no doubt

That's a great video! What struck me was the way the cat went directly for the guy who poked him. They are not dumb animals.
