Suggestion wanted. Background: I have been on many different elephant hunts in several countries with many different double rifles. The years roll by and one last time coming up. The following are available to use and all have killed elephants for me: Rhodda .500 Nitro Extractor, John Wilkes .470 ejector with claw mounted scope available or a H & H Royal .500/450 extractor. All shoot very well and handle good. H &H is the lightest, the .500 the heaviest, with the .470 in between. Which one would you take? All insured at full value. Only Big | ||

depends on your eyes - if you're like me the iron sights are awfully blurry, then the scope gets the nod | |||

Your problem is that you have too many doubles. Too many rifles will confuse a man. I'd sell the Wilkes and the Rodda, use the proceeds for more elephant, and take the Holland & Holland.  Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer. | |||
