The difference between you and me( one of many) Lane is that I have never made a full time job of kicking your guys in the crotch at every xxxing opportunity on AR, or anywhere else. My guys, and that includes guys from several African countries, think that Nigel is a great fellow. From my contacts with him I feel the very same. Clients like him, other pros seem to like him ,and over beers I like him. I am sure if I hunted with him I would like him more still. Are my guys ( and I guess that in this instance you mean the Chifuti guys) perfect in every instance , every day, 365 days a year ? No . I guess the guys you hunt with are. Bully xxking swell. There is no winning with you , and GOD knows I have tried. Our opinions on Africa, areas, techniques, people, shooting, backing up and on and on are so opposite as to be unbelievable. Out of the countless months I spend filming and hunting in Africa, there are about 3 or 4 guys on here that I would love to film. You my friend would be at the very TOP of that list. I'm sure you would preform flawlessly as Will, but man if that was not the case, HELLO YOU TUBE. I raise the white flag of surrender. Dave Fulson

Again Dave...you drew first blood. And...NOW...you choose to mention names and get personal. All I said was that I watched Andrew say on TV he believed in immediate follow-ups. And I don't want somebody shooting my animals UNLESS...it is absolutely necessary. I would suggest sir...that...it is rarely absolutely necessary. You again were the one who made the first smart-ass remark. So...sir...don't berate me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. If this is true, I don't think any hunter worth his salts should consider hunting with him. I do appreciate that the PH has a responsibility to see that animals are killed quickly and not left to die a lingering death from a wound. But, to say that a PH should follow up immediately is certainly not going to be accepted by the majority of hunters. Personally, I have said to all the PH I have hunted with that they can shoot any time they think it is NECESSARY.

In Alaska you are not required to have a guide for hunting Moose and caribou or least a few back they were not required. I went on a few of those jaunts with a good friend. It was tough cooking every meal after 12-14 hours hiking and hunting. Then you kill a Moose or two and the work begins. Now if you could do the same thing in Africa, no guide, no cook, no laundry, no floored tent, no generator, no one to clean, skin and salt your game, no one to cover your ass if required, find your way in and out of the bush. How many are capable of taking on this challenge or are willing? BTW; I do not care for someone else to shoot my game either and it appears to be a rare occurance. If you were to take a few plains game on your trip prior to chasing your dangerous game and proved your marksmanship it might provide your guide a little confidence. EZ

It would be a hell of a lot easier in many place in Africa than in Alaska. Speaking from a physical not logistical point of view. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. eezridr, NOT TOO RARE! TAA has featured that two weeks in a row, albeit with the same PH. Ric Footnote: I PM with a lot of the folks here. I made a snide remark about having someone iron my skivvies. I WAS WRONG!!! Laundry is hung on a line to dry. The insects lay eggs while it is on the line. They hatch in that nice warm area in your crotch and the larvae burrow in to a good blood supply. Eeeeuuch!! I am going to mandate ironing on any future trips. Buffalo Ticks are enough for me. Rich
