I have good news for those of you who anticipate and wait for the video.

Unlike last year, when we had major problems with transferring the footage and editing it, this year seems to work flawlessly.

I am in the process of copying all the raw footage onto our SSD editing computer, and all seems to work great.

I will let you all know when it is ready.

Sounds good. Hope it all goes as well as the hunt did.
I missed getting last years hunt due to being in the hosp. so much.

I'll bet just reviewing everything is about as much fun as being on the hunt was.
Enjoy it Saeed.

Walter looks bruised and bloodied!

Saeed,

Were there any crocodiles in that pool where you were standing on the hippo?

All the above bird pictures were by Rene Vincent.

We kept asking her how she managed to take such fantastic photos when she has to look after a camp with so many men who have nothing to do but complain about everything under the sun!

I am the one who normally never stops complaining, and the best support I got was from Roy! clap

Compliments to long-suffering Rene's photography and her many other skills and artistry. clap

You did not even mention the trouble that Walter is always causing her, in addition to Saeed and Roy.
"Saeed and Roy" is like a Las Vegas lion tamer act.
"Saeed, Roy, and Walter" is more like "The Three Amigos" or "The Three Stooges."

Saeed,

Great pictures. I really liked the composition of the pictures you posted this year, they really help tell the story of your safari.

That bull you see far away was a few miles away! Photo was taken with a 30X zoom on a Panasonic ZS60 pocket camera.

I think he is the same bull we followed a few days ago, and ended up being in the middle of buffalo beans!

This is a terrible tree, which has fruit that looks like bean pods, and as they dry, they twist and open up.

Apparently inside are very fine hair like seeds, and they are extremely irritating when they touch the skin.

As you walk over these, they somehow fly and get into your trousers, and teh fun begins!

We had a long hike after being well and truly clobbered by these until we got back to the river, where we had our truck wait for us.

Sitting in our main tent were Maktoum, Walter, Gary, Pete, Roy and Rene, and Alan.

Early morning sunrise by our camp.

Glad everyone enjoying our photos.

I have lots more to post, and will do so as soon as I have processed.

These photos are in very high resolution, and I have to reduce that to 1,800 pixels to post on here.

I am also progressing with the video - have done 11 hours so far, and those who love safari hunting are in for a treat.

Video quality is fantastic.

It is raw African safari.

No music.

No commentary.

No advertising.

No "made for TV" hunting show.

We hunt, and we take a video of our hunts.

And we are happy to share with you what has been filmed.

And George, the video you have missed from our hunt of last year is already in the mail to you.

Saeed, is that amarula fruit? (I have also seen it spelled murule; not sure which is proper...)

And I have not read all five pages, but those hand turned projectiles are incredible. The mushroom is phenomenal. What do they typically weigh after use? What initial and retained weights do you usually see?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for all the questions...

These are bullets we recovered this year.

The fruit is on a palm tree. Elephants and baboons love it.

Saeed did you noticed any difference in a way that some did "better" job than others - like mushroomed ones vs the ones that lost their petals etc?
