I know not everyone likes face book but I started a hunting group that is private. It is called world wide hunting adventures and is 100% free. Have hunters and outfitters and is slowly growing. If anyone would like to join please just request and invite and I will let you join in. Very happy with how it is going so far. It is not just africa but hunts any place in the world.

As of now I am limiting outfitters and agent till the page grows. I want this page to be more hunters then outfitters. It cover way more then africa so there will be limits there also. If your not approved right away it is more then likely I am at the limit I want at the time. so it could be a few weeks or month before some guys get approved.

Once again saeed thank you for letting me post here in one day I added 40 members.

I am not a member, or whatever they call it, of Facebook and do not plan to join.

Facebook raids the personal data of people who join and then seeks to monetize them in every way possible.

But Facebook will not allow anyone who belongs, or whatever they call it, to even refer to firearms in a commercial manner.

I will not subject myself to that sort of thing or support it in any way.

Not if you don't give them any personal data. I have people wish me happy birthday every Dec 12th even though I listed my DOB as 12/12/12 lol

I don't do Facebook....never will. You may not think you are putting info in there, but it tracks everything you do or look at and your conversations with others and the sites you visit, groups, etc.

Our daughter is on it and, as she said, funny thing is when she looks at an add or a site about lawn tractors...suddenly her facebook page is surrounded by adds for them and from dealers and stores that are in the general area she lives in.

To escape the snooping and mining completely you have to avoid the internet...which sadly is not an option for most these days.

Those that grumble about Facebook are just not sure of how to use it. I have posted on my "page" maybe twice a year?

It is useful for me, in that the car shows I do, the bike races I attend and boating stuff are mostly posted on Facebook and nowhere else.

The South American fishing outfitter I use now advertises all his group dates and destinations there and only there (Mark Bolton, Amazon River Monsters) good guy.

Facebook is what you make of it. AR is no different, all social media platforms are what you make of them.

Totally agree. it is not as bad as what some think. My group is private to members only of the page.

I have a special for australia that is only on my page and is a deal as good as I have seen. It was only offered to me over facebook for the page. I see it as a win to get hunters together

THAT is another advantage the your group, or any private group has over a page like AR. We can post trophy shots that only other accepted members of the group can see.

There won't be any screaming Karens out there looking to dox us for it.

Not at all.

Besides the data mining and monetization, which can be somewhat but by no means entirely obviated, there is the overtly anti-gun policy.

As I said, I will not participate in or support that in any way.

As you reply on a social media platform, probably with a phone made in China.

I agree that security is important but not posting on Facebook isn't keeping your data safe.

You buy on Amazon? Which search engine do you use? There is very little safe space on the internet.

Saeed, my comparison was that if PETA wants to troll ar pictures, there is nothing stopping them. Bcap's group is private and only members that he approves can see the page.

Other than that, this entire community is mostly all on the same page, unless you post in the P&G. Roll Eyes

My comparison applies to the websites.

One USES you to be exploited as much as possible.

Everything Zuckerberg does is to get money.

He bought Instagram and Whatsapp.

No idea how much he paid the government agency to let him do that to kill competition.

Ever since he has, both have gone down in services they provided, and and turned into an advertising board.

AR asks you for NOTHING!
