Same hunt 2 x 1 is USD 10.500/- plus observer(s) USD 1.000/-

Doing the maths if a couple booked back to back 7 day hunts it would be USD 25.000/- for 14 days for 2 bulls and 2 cows 1 x 1 hunting and 2 x observer fee. Versus USD 21.000/- to hunt 2 x 1 for 7 days.

USD 4.000/- more for an extra week in the veld for the two of us? No brainer if you have the time.

Charlie - I haven't done it, but why not? There's really not enough discount in 2x1 prices to tempt me to share a PH. So, unless you're short on time, I'd go for the 2 weeks, 2 safaris, switching hunters midway.

Only option for 2x1 is if a father is hunting with his son, or daughter.

The savings do not warrant two individual hunters doing it.

I had a client who had a hunt booked in S Africa. He also wanted to hunt Tanzania. So, I booked him in Masailand on a 21-day hunt. He said it would be silly to go home and then come back 3 weeks later for his SA hunt, so, he booked a second 21-day hunt in the Selous and then went straight to SA.

This is how you are supposed to live if you can afford it.
