Anyone been there? i know it was reasonably civiized in the 70's. The folks in the Cahorra Bassa region described it in essentially frightening terms when I was there.

I have heard it is a classic crap hole, and anyone who stays overnight gets malaria. That may be a slight exaggeration, but from what I have seen of Moz, it would be consistent.

I have heard a few stories from two PHs who have to drive through 2X each year. They time it not to spend the night. Maybe there are some OK places to stay but they did not use them.
