Scruffy ,yes ,now you can do the 60 kms of bush in a good and high 4x4 ,you must take water and tents because sometimes is imposible to hunt fast ,there are some huge herds there but real scary ,and its easy to lost them in the bush .Sometimes we us canoes not horses .Ibelieve this and in some places of FORMOSA are the only wild herds of buffalos in Argentina .Next week we will go with Bill to hunt brocket deer and cebu.

I know that you are planning to take a buffalo in tall grass with a 44 magnum ,and special bullets that Guille will prepare for Juan, please dont let me down i want to go as a back up with my cz375hyh open sigthed. The first time that Juans took a buffalo with revolver he was very disapointed as the buffalo run away ,with 6 shots of black talons ,and he found it dead after a day searching it.I believe all is in penetration and of course the training of the shooter. As Juan shoots pistols everyday ,if he can put a brain shot the buffalo will be down .ING.MARCOS A. mfisher,
IMHO you are riht, it is a penetration game.
Y meet a guy that have hunted a buffalo with .44 Magnum (Super Black Hawk). I also have it on tape.
Only one bullet (Honady 240 gr FMJ) in the brain.
Juan,
I can send you some 300-310 gr .44 bullets, Speer, Sierra or hard cast, simialr to LBT design.

Juan,
From left to right:
Cast 308 gr., Speer 300 gr. and Sierra 300 gr.

I have confidence in my hard cast bullets penetration as when casted of straight WW (13 Hbrn) they have almost no expansion and if water quenched (20 Hbrn) are really much tougher.
I have not used it on heavy game, only to finish deer and blackbuck.
Better ask some experts.
I can send you some bullets if you like, just let me know.
Martin

PS: You can get 100 fps plus with cast bullets
