Juan, I am coming in July for buffalo and capybara, but would also enjoy a puma chase if you have any probl;em animals at that time.

Sadly I have already arranged to go to La Pampa this coming weekend to hunt some boars, amigo mío ... if not, be sure I would be there with you without hesitation!

As soon as I return, I will contact you ... I do really want to visit you again as soon as possible, my friend thumb

My father-in-law once owned a campo about an hour's drive north of Cordoba (in Totoral) and a puma killed a lamb. My brother-in-law was there on a visit and volunteered to try and kill it. Now, my brother-in-law is not a hunter and has never killed any animal as far as I know, but he was willing to stay up all night in a blind and in theory knew how to shoot a rifle. They tied up a lamb, set up the blind, my brother-in-law commenced the watch.

Around 1AM two pumas show up, and warily approach the bait. My BOI shoots and misses, although he says he thinks he may have wounded the one he shot at. They knew of course that the pumas would never come to that bait again, so they gave up. Every night for the next week a lamb was killed by pumas and just left, they didn't even eat them. My father-in-law had no choice but to sell all his sheep before the slaughter decimated the few he had. He continued on with cattle and horses, but realized that sheep on that property would just be slaughtered as long as the pumas wanted their revenge and no competent hunter was around to eliminate them.

Juan: I wish to thank very much your kind offer. Sadly, this weekend I´ll begin the procedures for the surgical treatment I told to you some time ago, so I´ll be unable to travel Mad . A puma or two could be a real menace to your sheep. In the ranch I usually hunt they killed 29 heads in a very short time, thus the landowner gave up. And he is also a very talented hunter, alas, no dogs there due to deer. May the godess of the chase favour your efforts.
Regards

Sgraves yes we lost a lot of cattle because of pumas and big foxes .The feral goat population is going down due to the hunting pressure and the increase number of pumas.Juan
