Steve, thanks for the fine photos. What a great looking area that is and so different than what I have seen in Argentina so far. A truly fine looking buffalo and I like the hat on Don Ruiz-Diaz. Tell Willy I need to try some of those criolos next time down, whatever they are.... looks like a fat tortilla, and Quilmes a good choice to wash it all down. The field with the palm trees - are those buffalo out there? Be well.... "When you play, play hard; when you work, don't play at all." Theodore Roosevelt

Again, beautiful photos. Are the peccarys the same as those we have here...they look like they are. Am curious about the rifle you are holding in the photo promoting Arkansas. Looks similar to the little break open NEF .223 I carry in my truck. Can't help but feel for that little girl. Do these folks have access to medical care? Any plans for the SCI convention this year? Bill, you are correct about the peccaries--they are the collared variety. That's actually a single shot 12 ga of Willy's. I am not sure how much medical care is available to that particuliar Indian tribe, but suspect it is available every few months in that village. I should probably go to one of those SCI meetings, have never been. Steve "He wins the most, who honour saves. Success is not the test." Ryan "Those who vote decide nothing. Beautifull photos of another kind of ARGENTINA, the north hopefully have free range hunts and real hunts,BUENOS AIRES is mostly fenced game,so Cordoba, and the South, you Steven are a real hunter with real interest in the hunt itself,Willy althoug i dont work anymore with him is a real experienced PH in a profession with many frauds. In our country we are so different ,culturally, racially and in economics level thats it isnt difficult to understand ,the civil wars we have recently, now the country is divided strongly ,crime is rampant ,we cannot conceal it anymore ,and BUENOS AIRES is in war ,many friends have been assaulted one is in UTI ,another killed 4 attackers, hes a commando, but not everybody is trained to be in condition orange all the time.I RECOMMEND ALL MY FRIENDS FROM AR TO SATY AWAY OF ARGENTINA BIG CITIES AND IF THEY CAN RENT A SECURITY CONTRACTOR. www.huntinginargentina.com.ar FULL PROFESSIONAL MEMBER OF IPHA INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL HUNTERS ASOCIATION . Juan, I am sorry to hear of this for your country, but ours may be headed in that direction soon, as the voters here seem to be interested in more Socialist programs, and we know where that usually leads. Steve. What Juan says is very interesting. And sadly, what we are facing here may not be as bad from the criminal side, but on the economic side we are slowly/quickly getting there. I must tell you that when I am with Juan, Willy and my friends in San Francisco, and in the south, I always feel safe. I have also felt very secure with Guillermo in Cordoba, and more comfortable there than in BA. It seems that anymore I am never in condition white....even in my home town. San Francisco would lend itself to yellow; Cordoba as well. BA has to be orange..... The tough part is that it is difficult for us as visitors to be armed and ready like we are here, or at least as I always am. I remember years ago in South Africa as soon as I left the airport I strapped on my 1911 - following the advice of Jeff Cooper (we both hunted with the same PH, Danie Van Graan, very much a 1911 fan as well). No more there.....now it can be a stout stick which can be very effective, and not a bad idea to use such a "cane" anywhere. The following is a good review of Cooper's codes. http://www.teddytactical.com/S...20of%20Awareness.htm "When you play, play hard; when you work, don't play at all." Theodore Roosevelt

Yes, a very sad development indeed. Latin American countries are so beautiful but nearly all their capitals have turned into nightmares where you can no longer live safely with a family. Exceptions are, I guess, Montevideo and Santiago de Chile. I remember old colleagues telling about the times where at night women could safely wear their furs and jewelry when going for a walk in Lima or Bogotá. That was apparently still possible in the 1960s, not too much time ago...

I am sure there remain places in Buenos Aires and Cordoba where one can visit and live safely. Argentina is not alone....there are cities in the United States, including our capital, which are as difficult. "When you play, play hard; when you work, don't play at all." Theodore Roosevelt
