Well my friends, after near a month and a half without sleeping and carrying milk bottles up and down stairs at 3am finally I earn a day out in the bush.

I didn't kill anything, but that's normal for me Big Grin

There was full moon so we (hunting buddy Federico and I) decided to check the trail cams and see if we can catch a big one that has been roaming around for a while.

We arrived early to check a water hole and a couple of feeders. At this time of the year there are lots of corn fields around so pigs are more scattered than during the winter making things more difficult.

We saw lots of axis signs in the trees (rubbing)

At midday the sun was VERY strong so we decided to eat an asado near the river.

We find a small sandy beach and there we decided to spend the long siesta hours while the night arrives.

Checking the trail cam pictures with the laptop.

There is no better meal for a hunter than just a piece of meat, a bread and a beer Big Grin

We were too anxious to take a nap so while I was building a shoting stick for use it at the waterhole, Federico was trying his luck with the river minnows rotflmo

Finally the night arrived and I left him at the waterhole and I went to one of the feeders, no luck for none of us, at 3 am a big storm arrived and I grab everything and run to the truck under heavy rain Frowner

I arrived to the waterhole to pick up Federico and we slept inside the truck from 4 am till 7 am and then we returned home empty handed once more...never mind, the hunting of an animal is just the excuse to be "out there"...right ??? Cool

This is the guy that never show up..

And his relatives... Big Grin

I hope you enjoy them

I think these are neat threads. Uruguay is a place I will probably never to get to visit but it is nice to see pics of the Uruguayan bush. It looks beautiful. Life is so short and yet there are so many interesting places in the world if one only had the time and money.
