Makes a hasty sling problematic. I drilled the wood on my Mini-14 (not that it made it accurate).

HannayI thought about doing that on a Browning Safari 458 WM. I got as far as ordering this
this from Midway. When I got it, I realized that the barrel is tapered but the clamp isn't. So, it didn't mount solidly, and I thought about trying to use epoxy, but set it aside. Suggestions/experience?

AtkinsonIMO no! and if anyone does, I still say no, I prefer mine milled too the barrel or at leased soldered..same for the front and rear ramps ramps and sights..
