I'm really looking forward to moosehunting this year. My new girl is now nine months and she is interested in the right things.

Pia really did well at her first hunting day. She obviously already knew how to find and track moose. As soon as I'm sure she's not in heat anymore I will let her loose to try to make moose stand for her. I'm the guy in the creek.

Two small ones today, but it was still over expectations, the best surprise was how well the dog did and there were a lot more moose than I feared.

Five to go.
