I got an e mail from Erik along with a picture of a giant moose just taken. It was 73 or 74 inches.
I have not found a Photobucket replacement. If someone will PM me their e mail address I will e mail the picture and they can post it.

Larry, check out Smugmug. I've been using it for a few months now and like it pretty well. Costs a few bucks a month but seems worth it so far.

http://www.freerepublic.com/fo...oggers/3591561/postsAn absolute giant of moose goes down in Alaska. Israel Payton may have his hands on the new world record moose. World record animals being harvested always gain a lot of attention. Of course, a moose is not going to catch the attention that a world record whitetail would, but a record is sure to turn some heads.
And the news of a new world record moose being broke is doing just that.
Israel Payton, an Alaskan, may have just harvested the world record moose with a successful hunt on this whopping bull. It is said the bull is coming in at an incredible score of 80 inches

I went with the SmugMug basic plan for around $3.00 a month (paid in full for a year since it's cheaper that way). They basic plan include 3rd party photo hosting such as posting my photos in this and other forums.

Look at how the antlers drop from horizontal - big moose exhibit that, but this might be the most I have ever seen (not that I am an expert).

This whole deduction thing is the one thing I hate about B&C. Can we not just give the animal credit for what he is without the unscientific, beauty pageant nonsense.

cdparkerJust curious; how many man trips to pack that big guy out and how far from transportation were the trips? The biggest one that I ever got, the rear quarters weighed 250 lbs. each. This big boy looks like a LOT of work.
