Well it's finally here. I drew a Nunivak Island winter muskox tag last year and I fly out tomorrow morning. I'll report when I get a chance. Luckily it's supposed to be cold and really windy....so I've got that going for me! jumping

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Congrats! I, too, would like to see photos. Imgur works and is free, though there is no guarantee it will continue; I put a link to a video tutorial on this thread:
How to post pictures with imgur.com

If that's too difficult, send me a PM and I can post the photos if you email them to me.

Thanks! I ditched photo bucket when they wanted to charge an arm and a leg.

Here's pictures of the muskox:

I was very impressed with how tough they are! I shot this muskox with my .325wsm and 200 grain TSX hand loads going 2,940fps. I have NEVER recovered one from a moose. I shot him 3 times through the ribs broadside at 50-60 yards! I recovered all 3 bullets under the offside hide!

Nicely done. Huge congrats! The muskox was one animal I never got around to hunting in AK and I regret it.
