I have never even seen one. But when this all started I contacted Wayne at AHR and he had one threw his shop a while ago. He indicated that they are a little ruff but can easly be cleaned up and with a few parts that can be purchased they would make a very good option for a left hand shooter. If Jeff gets some positive feed back from the factory I am still in.

Just gives you cause to continue the search.

Heck, I have a whole bunch of accessories for a lefty Tikka T3 stainless here and my dealer can't find a gun in .308 like I want the country available through any distributor.

Many have listed them as available, but none can deliver......

As of last week the Sportsmans Warehouse store in Lexington KY had them on the shelf. You might want to see if your dealer could call them and work something out.

Well I'm guessing this is now officially a DOA subject . FYI ; I attempted to place an order on # 35 complete LKM70 models in 375 H&H 458 WinMag an 9.3X62 with a small number of .264 7mm RM .308 and .300 Win Mag. I posted an international LOC drafted on a UK account or US account their choice for the entire allotment . I even asked if direct importation through proper paper work and channels wasn't allowed ,forward my request too their largest United States Zastava distributor for consideration of purchase .

Below is the non reply I received , so this is officially a DEAD ISSUE for myself !.

I have emailed prospective interest parties for confirmation of interest as well.

I've been following this thread hoping you guys would be able to finally get your LH Mausers.
My brother is LH and I was hoping to get in on the deal if it ever panned out.

I'm sorry to say it, but Peter is a con-artist.

His company "Taksdale" was dead when he was promising you-all those upgraded, english style-stock LH Mausers under the Taksdale name!

I am among those who were "taken" by his double rifle sharade and I wanted to let everybody know who and what Peter is.

I hope y'all eventually find some way to get some LH Mausers in.

Regards,
Nemo.

If you send money to people you 'met' on the internet, you run the risk of being disappointed by 'vaporware' and a SIGNIFICANT risk of being defrauded.

How many times have we seen it, just on AR?

Has anyone contacted EAA Corp? Their 2011 catalog lists Zastavas as the 798 but do not list left hand models. They might accomodate a special order?

We've all contacted EEA Corp. They told us to get stuffed.

Just a brief update folks, Beretta Australia have now told us that Zastava aren't manufacturing a LH M70 .458WM. Despite it being listed on Zastava's website.

It has taken Beretta Oz some time to get stock even of the RH .458 M70's, so this news has greatly disappointed a few blokes here.

BTW, this is what they had in stock of the left handers [M85 and M70, walnut stocks only], as of May:
.222
.223
7.62 x 39
22/250
.243
25/06
6.5 x 55
.270
7mm rem mag
.30/06
300 win mag
9.3 x 62
.375 H and H

Cheers,
Doug

Yes George, such bad things happen. By the same token, isn't it great how much larger the "pool" is that the internet has provided us as both buyers and sellers. Thank goodness there's more good people in the world than bad.

I just bumped into a outfit on the internet that stocks the Zastavas. Its called Trade Ex Canada and they are located in Montreal. I pounded off a email to them just to see what came back. If I get anything I will let you all no. Someone may have already checked this option as I havent checked in for a while.

The reply came quickly from Trade ex and it is more of the same thing we have seen from the US importer it seems. See the reply below.

Hello,

The “exclusive” zastava importer for Canada is not even interested to bring in guns in 6.5x55 or 9.3x62

I do realize that there is demand for left handed mausers.

Thank you
