Is this group order only good for the left handed LK M70? Can a right handed LK M70 Standard in 9.3x62 be ordered with this group purchase?? Can a right handed LK M98 (which is the original configuration with the flag safety) in 9.3x62 be ordered with this group purchase???

If I can order either or both the above right handed models, if I were to do so, what is the cost for each rifle, who do I place the order with, and who do I send the payment to?

Thanks for any help Smiler

I'm in for a 9,3x62 and a .458 Win Mag, both lefties.
Just tell me when and where to send payment and FFL. Would prefer to pay by credit card for the "insurance" factor. But if that is a no go check will be forth coming.
However I leave for 10 days on 10 Jan. Check would have to be written before the 10th or after the 21st.

i think we should give this a few weeks randy to let enough people know about it so we make our minimum 30 for the order.

BTW, based on this thread alone I am counting between 18-23 rifles. could we start to have members PM me with what they would be interested in? I apoligize if this creates redundancy but I can keep it a bit more clear that way.

bear in mind, Zastava is requiring a minimum of 30 units to make the order happen. i'll have to wander over to the 24hourcampfire and let them know, too.

thanks,

jeff

What reputation do these rifles have? I know the price is right, but what is their quality?

they are basic mauser actions. you could leave them as is and go hunting or you could do lots of things to them and go hunting.

you can certainly search for older threads on AR and find info to aid in your decision.

I sent you a PM for three rifles and it looks like another buddy wants one now so that will likely bump up to four in the next few days. I will pay for them and they will pay me back.

of the half dozen left handed actions i have had, i always installed the trigger i wanted to use and then i sent the complete action to gentry to have him install they safety. it was cheap insurance as they always worked as intended when i got them back. the price wasn't outragous and they were gone awhile but i wasn't in a hurry. these were done before the father passed so i don't know how the service and products are any more.

Jeff,

I'd wait on the order until you get about 33 confirmations because sure as anything a couple of people will run into some kind of financial difficulty in the next month and cancel out.

I've obligated myself for two but will certainly buy one or two more at the posted prices in order to see the order thru. It makes sense to me to within reason to do what it takes to secure real lh mausers at the bargain prices posted.

At this time I feel no need nor do I have any plans for future rifle projects. However, if a plan does materialize I'd certainly like to have a $500.00 mauser action lying around to start with.

Thanks, Frank. That's exactly why I am extending the interest period through month's end.

Any updates on this? I was going to send a reminder PM, but being I'm seeing no definitive info within the thread reference either the right handed Zastava 9.3x62 M70s, or any right or left handed Zastava 9.3x62 M98s, I thought it best to place this on the thread for anyone who is right handed. Not sure if you're still looking at piggy backing any orders beyond the left handed M70.

Thanks Smiler

I have also been asked about RH rifles. Initially, the US Importer was telling me we could piggy back RH rifles onto the order. However, this no longer appears to be the case. I have done some research and one of our very own members, Russ Gould has indicated to me he has some 9.3s in RH configuration that he could get you. His site is www.bigfivehq.com or I suppose you could PM him as well.

I apologize if this has caused any inconvenience but hopefully he can be of assistance getting these and perhaps other calibers.

guy's one quick question, since it appars that you are being jerked around by the importer.

do any of you have the ability to import this number of guns yourself, as i am working with zastava of doing a limited run of LH double square brigde mausers with english styled stocks for roughly the same price as you have been quoted by the importer.

the caliber choises i am working with them are

375 h&h
458 lott
505 jeffery

i dont want to derail the tread but it seems to me that the importer is doing a runaround on you as zastava are very eager to please, and to work with anybody on this.

best

EAA is the sole US Importer for Zastava as I am told. So, the option of another importer seems nill. My emails to Zastava were forwarded to the Importer here in the US.

I don't mean to throw cold water on this idea, but I suggest you examine a sample before committing. I spent the last few days reworking a recent manufacture mini-mauser from Zastava and the quality of it is pathetic; really nothing like the older ones I've worked on. Buyer beware.

Jeff

the importer is only importing the make in the US and i dont think there is anything wrong with me selling to americans under my own license but will check with the factory monday.

@john

i agree with your assesment on the newer items, i confronted the factory with my findings, and their response was okay in my book, they make guns for many different companys and at different price levels, the finish intirely depends on the price the importers are ready to pay, so if they pay 134 $ for the gun and sell it for 550 $ then it is hard to blame zastava for the imperfections in a 134 $ product Smiler that is the way commerce go, and the only one to blame is the moral of the seller.
