bhtkevinFor those wondering what makes a great photo, don't ask about the gear. The gear is only a small part of it. What you see in these photos is how to use a camera correctly. Outstanding job.

I was thinking the same thing. Anton has an a keen eye for composition. He could take better photos than most of us no matter the gear.
Thanks Anton
I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

accipiter1Mr. Dahlgren - These photos are professional quality! Quite remarkable.
That photo of the paved road you refer to as the KHH - is that the Karakorum Highway? How far were you from Xinjiang (China)? Did you make it to Gilgit? The local men in the photos are Pashtuns, correct?
While in China as a youth, I wanted to travel overland to the region you hunted via the Karakorum Highway. Due to tourist visa problems, I went to Nepal and India instead. These photos are a reminder that I need to eventually visit this region.

A.DahlgrenHi there and thanks
I hunted a village named Sost which is in gojal, gilgit-baltistan. I think it's only 80km from the Chinese border..sost is the last town before China/khunjerab pass and I was just a few km from the pass.
Yes the road is the famous Karakoram Highway.
Google Attabad lake, many pictures are from there.

A.DahlgrenThanks Paul, this is the last leg before the hunting area starts so you go over this lake in and out. Anyway on the way in it was very cold and ice everywhere and the sun was perfect and made all the reflections..Just crazy, you couldn't see where the mountains started almost.
On the way out it was a grey sky with not so many photo moments.
