here a couple of pictures of my chamois hunt of 27 september 2006. The hunt took place in a unfenced private reservation of 11.000 hectares in north italy -Alps mountains - about 50 km from my home. The area have about 1500 chamois and is one of the most beautiful and exclusive hunting places in the italian alps.Is a special opportunity to have an invitation for to hunt there. In fact they dont sell any single hunts, but only very expensive quotas for only a dozen of people. I killed the chamois, a male 4 years old, early in the morning, using my Blaser K95, cal 7x65 R, ammunition RWS Kiegelspitze 123 gr. Shooting distance 300 meters. A nice hunt but too simple for me: too many animals!

Mario,
Molto bello! What part of Italy are you from, and where did you hunt? I was in Lake Como last year, and I went to the mountians near Swiss border.

sorry for the late answer, but I had some problems in my pc.

The hunting area is in the Lombardia region, Brescia province, and the valley is Valcamonica.
Not far from the suisse border, but on the west form Como lake, but in the same region.

Mario -- a digression. Are you familiar with the restaurant "Chez Filippo" in Courmayeur? Since you were hunting in that part of the world, I was wondering whether you were familiar with the place. Back in the 70's and 80's when I used to ski in northern Italy we used to go there for dinner. A wonderful restaurant. I still remember the grappa and the grolla, even now.
