Omay
Zimbabwe
Dates, April 14th ( 18 days )
3 male lion have moved in and have been seen on numerous occasions, one male is huge with a fantastic mane. I have kept the daily rates low and upped the trophy fee.
18 days @ $ 600/ day
Trophies available
Lion $ 20 000
Hippo $ 4 000
Buffalo cows x 2 @ $ 1300 each
Extras
2 % tax on daily rates and trophy fees
Dip/ pack $ 600
charters $ 2300 ex Harare ( round trip )
Pre baiting if requested
* options to include:
Buffalo bull
Crocodile
Trophy elephant
I believe there is a better than average chance at getting a shot at this lion.

L. David KeithThis is an exceptional deal for anyone wishing a wild Lion. FYI: the HSUS along with other anti's just filed a petition to list the African Lion on CITES endangered list, thereby halting the importation of Lion's into the USA. Don't snooze and lose. This hunt is a great offer for anyone wanting a Lion in Zim.
Cheers,
LDK

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

Translation to North Americanese- sod beats a "dandy", and is even better than a "big bastard"
I wish I were the lucky hunter who smacks this "thumper"!

FrostbitWho would the PH be? What's the expected weather in late April? How fast would the Lion get shipped to the US?

Let me know if you need some backup!!!
Martin and I have talked at length about his philosophy on pricing lion hunts, and I think it is a great approach. $600 a day to hunt lion, with a real chance of taking one in a truly wild area, and if successful the total price is still a lot less than the going rate which we know can be double this and then some...what’s not to like!
Plus, add a trophy elephant at trophy fees only!!

martin pietersNice one Bill, thought you were my mate,!! No seriously, after the hippo, I may take you up on that......

martin pietersJim, I will be the PH on the hunt, at the moment looks like Russ Marshall might have taken this hunt, we are trying to put it together, I will let you know.
April weather: Perhaps a few showers, temp around 28 C, green with a more than slight chance of bugs!
I will take the skin and skull back to town immediately for dip/ pack, I would say it would be shipped within 3 months.

MJinesI knew it would not be long before Big Money Marshall showed up.

Thanks for the answers Martin. It would have been very short notice for me to pull it off anyway.

Do not worry Bill, I will be in the Omay in April, I can back him up if he needs some help, heck the same offer goes to Russell.
Wet, warm, and bugs, just like Louisiana!!

safari-lawyerI've been wondering how long it would take Mike and Russell to get on this. Early season, bargain shumba are rare as hen's teeth. Get yout wallets out boys!
