Kambako Safaris just acquired an additional hunting area in Mozambique. This area boarders their current area in the Niassa Reserve and is 450,000 Hectres and due to the minimal amount of hunting done in this area over the last few years you will have a fantastic opportunity to take some excellent trophies. Kambako's luxury tented accommodations along the Lugenda River, will not disappoint and clients will receive the 5 star treatment and hunting that Kambako is renowned for. They are currently finalizing the airstrip and will be good to go from the 1st of July 2014. To kick start this new area, Kambako is offering the following hunts on quota for this year (2014) only: 2 Lion, 3 Leopard & 12 Buffalo (plains game as always). This prices are good for 2014 only:
Lion/Buffalo, 18 days: $58,700.00
Leopard, 12 days: $24,250.00
Buffalo, 10 days: $16,450.00
Hunts include daily rate, hunting license, firearm license (1 gun, $250 each thereafter), transport of trophies to Pemba, Gov't license, trophy fee, CITES (where applicable) plus $2,000 towards air charter (based on shared flight). Not included: International airfares, over night stays before/after safari, items of a personal nature, gratuities, travel insurance. Contact me for available dates. LDK

The new area is Block A of Niassa Reserve. We have been hunting Block B. The area should be just as good, and it has not been hunted hard over the past few years. My guess is that it is crawling with leopards, and all of Niassa has tons of lions. This is a great opportunity to get in on a great deal...

and I think it was just a part that did not get hunted much. If I am not mistaken, we watched my lion walk out of block A across river and into block B...

original Kambakos area, then Luwire's, then McLeans and obviously game sold Via Kambako now.
A nice area that runs all the way north to the Tanzanian border.
I would be quite happy to hunt there but do expect some small human population in the north.
Always wanted to hunt Leopard there..

Jumbo says they are classified as Limpopo (Tragelaphus scriptus roualeyni) but they are doing DNA testing soon on these Bushbuck as it just does not make sense, but yes for now they are advertised as Limpopo. LDK

Well now. If this pic was taken in Uganda it would be a Nile bushbuck. Or an East African. Basically, take your pick it seems...

Spent today tracking two Buff in this area.
Would be a very good option for anyone after a Buff or Leopard still this season. Lots of tracking but proper Buff hunt with little pressure on the Buff other than Lion.
