I thought I had these all sold but complications with today's travel made it too difficult to organize for a couple of hunters so we are sitting on two buffalo hunts. These can be taken as single buff hunts of 7 to 10 days or a 2 buff hunt of up to 14 days. I'd take the 14 days.

Three of these buff specials have taken place. All three had opportunities in first couple of days with a 42", 39" being taken and 1 unfortunately wounded and lost.

The first guy that completed one of these Specials just now shot 42" buffalo, hippo, croc, roan, bushbuck, hyena, puku and a man eating lion. He is very excited and righteously so. The hunter that just started did the follow up on the man eater, took 56" kudu, hippo/croc in first two days and has hung baits for leopard. Update: huge leopard in the salt.

As many of you know the duPlooys/Muchinga Adventures have the fabulous Chifunda GMA on the Luangwa river in Zambia. The GMA is huge with all the indigenous Luangwa species occurring in good numbers. The resident buffalo herd numbers around 3,000 plus they have a 60 KM border with the North Luangwa Park so all game travels freely back and forth across the river.

(2) Buffalo have come available in Chifunda with good dates and the prices are excellent. If you still want a wild buffalo hunt in a very game rich area for 2021 this is your opportunity to book it.

Chifunda also provides one of Africa's best opportunities to take a HIPPO ON LAND and crocodile as the river is full of them. I would expect even on a 7 day hunt for a hunter to have a good opportunity on buffalo, hippo, croc and plains game.

That’s a fantastic deal with a great operator!

I believe that is less than I paid in 2010 hunting Buffalo with Johnny. One of the most organized outfits in African hunting.

Those prices are insane. On the 7 day hunt, with the TF, concession fees and license included, you are hunting buffalo for plains game rates, plus you can hunt for a hippo and croc.

Ground transfer is $800 EACH WAY and 12 hours.

5 to 6 hours from Mufwe to camp. The cost for the flight from Lusaka to Mufwe is about $300. I am doing that next month, I did the 12 hour ride in Nov. and that is a LOOONG ride

Yeah! Proflight Zambia does a scheduled flight Lusaka-Mfuwe. The drive is 5 hours from Mfuwe to Chifunda. This is how quite few clients are getting to Chifunda.

have hunted other African countries (3) but not Zambia, so ask about locations of referenced GMA and North Luangwa NP. a map in Boddington/French book shows Chifunda GMA as the northernmost GMA in Luangwa valley with Chikwa GMA to its south and North Luangwa NP to its south. this map does not show Chifunda bordering North Luangwa GMA. Have the GMA borders been changed or is Boddington's map incorrrect? Just trying to understand relative locations. Clarifications requested pls.

The maps you referenced is WAY off. I have the same book by Boddington and Flack. The Zambia GMA map in the book bares little resemblance to today's GMA location.
