My 416 and 450 Rigby barrelled actions are done. Thanks Stuart they are beautiful.

Satterlee magnum mausers with .750 diameter bolts chambered in 416 & 450 Rigby, with Krieger 26 inch barrels, with intergral rib, recoil lug, front and rear sights.
I have a matching 505 Gibbs also in process.
The 416 barreled action weighs 7.10 lbs and the 450 is at 7.60 lbs.

With my very dense turkish blanks I will have the rifles finished at 11 lbs and 11.5 lbs with the 4+1 magazines.

Thanks! Very happy.

I haven't made that important decision yet.

Delivery was saifactory for me. If interested in obtaining a Satterlee mauser I would contact Stuart. Be advised that my actions and barrells were custom and a work of art by such a gifted gunmaker as Stuart, will take time. Am I pleased? Very much so.

Stuart has sent me many photos, but none has done justice to his fine workmanship. The actions are so smooth, the bolts seem to float as they move and lockup. Like "ball bearings" as I recall somebody said. Thanks very much Stuart.

They are VERY nice. I do like the ribs.

What scope mounting system (if at all)? Smithson?

Cheers, Chris

For right now my plan is for these to be un-scoped. I have other big bores with scopes,so these will be different.

These are scheduled to go to the stockmaker at the beginning of March. Then for some finish engraving and metalwork, after that rust blue. I hope to have them done later in the year.

What triggers do the receivers have in one of your top photos? The one that are not the ones with the Mod 70 type triggers.

...yes Butch they are by Les Castleberry. My 505 Gibbs will have this trigger and tang safety.

quote:

"I just prefer a tang safety and am partial to the Mauser action. I therefore did the required design work and I hand assemble them as needed. They are stainless steel (S30V) and all internal parts hardened. The safety slider would need to be done by whomever does the tang extension work." - Les Castleberry

Ame i missing something Fast 996????
Have you recieved your barreled actions, or ar they stil by Stuard, since he according to your comment, is showing your actions in his promotion pictures.
If so. Then it is a bit provokative to Stuards other customers that has prepayed, without recieving

Missing something?

Those barreled actions pictured above are in my bedroom. I suggest you chill out.
