ddrhookB. Bradshaw's Falling Block double rifle
believe me Larry he has that thought on his mind too.he hates to be slow on production. I even hinted about a new ghost ring for my 458 and he did not take the hint

14 September 2011, 04:28
boom stickI'm daydreaming about a 12 gauge double falling block with screw in paradox rifling chokes.
Dare to dream.

LilguyAnyone shooting one now? I have contacted him about building one in 45/70,my favorite
cartridge. Are there any differences in feel or handling?
30 September 2011, 08:56
PAPIJust an " FYI "..
" IF " I were having one custom built (45/70).. it would be specifically
** regulated for " CEB bullets & Loads **", along with optimal barrel twist rate.

LilguyThanks. He's suggesting a 405 built on the smaller action. Base prices are actually 2 thousand dollars higher than posted on the
web site and cost was a concern on my part.

And they should be MUCH higher than that!!!

Bailey BradshawMy website now has the updated prices. I had intended to do this weeks ago.
This month has been the busiest of my life as far as I can recall. Helping my wife with her new business, a feed store in Diana,tx called CB Feed and Seed, and managing my new employee, Aaron Little ( He's doing excellent work and I'm pleased to have him in my shop).
Larry's rifle is getting close to poping the first few primed cases.
As much as I hate to raise my prices, at the introductory price, I am making about $25 per hr gross. With a little over one year backlog, it is past time to bump prices to a level I can operate and grow with.
01 October 2011, 06:43
BiebsTold ya!!!! :-)
01 October 2011, 23:28
elk88101Hey guys!
This should not be a surprise
Biebs and I have been telling you to order now, because the price had to go up.
Bail said mine should be ready for my jumbo hunt in November less the engraving. I can't wait to handle it.
Bail said I should be right at 11.25 pounds.
Soon as I get the gun I will post a report.
I feel privileged to be getting the first Bradshaw falling block double in a Dangerous game caliber.
Thanks Bailey
Larry
01 October 2011, 23:48
BiebsWell, he had to have one guy's to build, so he could correct all the screw-ups before making the rest of ours. :-)
02 October 2011, 00:07
elk88101Yeah
But mine comes with a lifetime free upgrade program.
Larry
02 October 2011, 02:22
ddrhookLarry,
your bang stick is coming along nicely I fondled it this am I'm mean I caressed it gently. I did not even drool on it. I can't wait to shot it

just like all his work the balance is great the weight is perfect. I know you will be happy with it. even with the ugly wood that you picked for it

02 October 2011, 07:20
MartyGlad I ordered when I did. The way I see it, that paid for most of my upgrades.
Also glad all the bugs are being worked out just before he builds mine!
02 October 2011, 08:14
Bailey BradshawWHOA WHOA WHOA.... where did this lifetime free upgrade program stuff come from????
Larry....did some guy in a shiny suit sell you a bill of goods?
02 October 2011, 18:15
MartyLifetime free upgrades? Sounds like tinfoil hat stuff to me.
I'm sure glad, though, I am grandfathered in on future builds at the introductory price.

That's was the deal we had after the first bottle of Jack Daniels.
Gee I can't believe you don't remember.
I was just before you started dancing on the table.
Jon was there but he was sleeping on the bar.
Oh well
Larry
02 October 2011, 22:20
Bailey BradshawNice try home slice, but I haven't had Jack Daniels since my last year in High school.
there was a little vino in Italy in my Navy days, but you weren't there I and I wasn't building rifles then, so that episode is out.
Besides, I had bad hips when you ordered the rifle and I hadn't danced in a couple of years....on sound floors...let alone a table.
The defense rests.....
Maybe it was that guy in a dress you were talking to just before leaving the show :-)

You did not have your dress on that day.
Or did you
Larry
03 October 2011, 08:02
Bailey BradshawParry! Thrust! Touche!
Larry scores......until he realizes he was holding hands with Jon and can't recall if there was a dress involved.
I have to say this has been a fun thread.
03 October 2011, 08:24
NakihunterHold it right there guys, wait till you get the rifle and then you can start all the carassing 7 dancing!

03 October 2011, 08:32
NakihunterBailey, would it be possible to get it lazer / computer engraved like a old Alex Henry rifle? What would it cost? Just curious.
BTW, that falling block DR on the website looks awesome & it deserves a real classic leather rifle case IMHO.

elk88101Hey guys

Will pay for the gold and curb feelers.

BiebsHey, has anyone here ever seen Larry and Al Sharpton in the same room? Just wondering :-)
04 October 2011, 19:06

PhatmanI would love to see some construction pics of the rifle he is building now.
Bailey, did you ever get that assistant you wanted?
You must have had every young man for 150 miles trying to get that job.

I guess it a good thing I'm as far away from you as I am, or I'd be over there everyday just to sweep out the shop...LOL
I've got a simular problem, I port and flow racing cylinder heads. There are lots of folks that want to watch. They get in the way some times but I humor them...LOL
Best of Luck, You dont need it.

One of the shops where I worked on my Lotus had a sign that read:
$90 per hour labor
$110 per hour if you watch
$130 per hour if you help
Maybe you and Bailey need to adopt something similar ...

This is the note Bail sent me last week about his new guy.
"Aaron is doing great. He's got a solid work ethic and has obvious talent. I am very pleased to have him and expect him to become my shop foreman in the future".
And Biebs I can't hear so I dont call I use the email so does that count???
Larry

Mike BrooksBailey had better hope that Aaron doesn't ever see this on the web or he'll be wanting a raise very soon and the rifles will jump up more than $2K..

PhatmanI hope Aaron appreciates the fact he is now getting an education that money cant buy any where in the world.
He is a very lucky young man.
