Killed 2 buff with my Chapuis 9.3 x 74R in Zim
Still in J'burg from Harare. Used Woodleigh PP 286 grain Soft Points and Solids. Whoever donated the Federal 215 primers that I won at the spring '09 Shoot and Hoot, I say thanks. More pics to come when I get back. Neither buff ran more than 50-75 yards after being hit. These are both pics of the 2nd buff.

That's an old warrior. Very nice. The 9.3x74R just seems to always get the job done.

Reports like this make me think I should keep my 9.3x74 DR and put those "need to buy something bigger $$" towards trophy fees.

Roger: Thanks for sharing the photos of your fine bull. What is it about these "little" 9,3s that just plain work?

If you put good 9,3 bullets in the right spot, they work as good as ANYTHING.

Beautiful specimen. Have not been able to hunt them myself, just read and read of others great stories. You sir, are kindly making my oogle in jealousy. I applaud your great shot placement to allow for only a run off of 50-75 yards. Some of my whitetails do that, (when I don't take brain shots), and I am not under near what your adrenaline surge may be.

As a side note: Please post more pictures to give me something to look forward to in the future.

Okay, I am home: More pics to come tomorrow. I have been up for over 30 hours. On a sad note, I found out today that my brother-in-law died Saturday of a massive heart attack. We are still in shock.
