Intersting that you should say that. I deliberatley prevent case grip in the chamber because of the damage it does to the cases. I take the view that the action was designed to withstand all of the thrust the cartridge is capable of delivering. Theoretically, case grip is going to be subject to a host of variable influences so lubing the case adequately (or polishing the cases) should keep the case grip reasonably constant and not too high. But hey, I'm the student here! Say, the 222 Rimmed is a fine looking cartridge! And looks is as good a reason to choose one cartridge over another as any! ![]() Regards 303Guy

Why is a guy turned on by one good looking woman and not by another equally as beautful? The answer to both is "I don't know !" ![]() Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

That's good enough for me! Same reason I prefer a 6.5x57 over a 6.5x55. No good reason at all! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Regards 303Guy
