Intersting that you should say that. I deliberatley prevent case grip in the chamber because of the damage it does to the cases. I take the view that the action was designed to withstand all of the thrust the cartridge is capable of delivering. Theoretically, case grip is going to be subject to a host of variable influences so lubing the case adequately (or polishing the cases) should keep the case grip reasonably constant and not too high. Say, the 222 Rimmed is a fine looking cartridge! And looks is as good a reason to choose one cartridge over another as any!

I like the look of that 222 Rimmed too! Anybody have a rimmed case stuck in a sizer die? I have - I just pulled harder on the press lever and it, well, came out. Nearly ripped the press off the bench, 'though! 
Was that your gauntlet that hit the floor?

And with the crappy Lee Enfield magazine, they can hook over each other and jam. My 303-25 magazine doesn't have that problem. The only decent L E mag I have ever seen (which is not that many). It holds the cartridges in firmly even when removed from the rifle. (I must examine it and modify my other L E mags).
