yes there is no need for the 375 a.r. with the 375 ruger about to give birth but ruger just made it easier to make the 375 a.r.

the 375 ruger is 2.5" but the ruger action can accomodate a 2.65" case...

neck up the 338 rum brass to 375 and trim at 2.65" or 68mm

ream out the 375 ruger chamber with the 375 rum reamer to the 338 rum depth.

the 338 rum is shorter but they are almost identical...

use the rum reamer and dies, no boltface alteration. and use the 338 rum loads for a guide -10% and work up.

you will have the same amount of rounds down as the 375 ruger and a 10% case volume advantage over the ruger that itself has a 4% case capacity advantage over the h+h

yes it is wildcat lunacy but hey...would you rather talk to the wife about the sale she found on shoes???

You know, a 10.75x68 Mauser case necked down to .311 caliber would be more obscure ...

its not about being obscure...but i get the ribbing...

take avaliable and common components and tools to make a super 375 with minimal investment.

you could start with an unchambered 375 barrel and 7mag donor action to get the same destination with an sub new 375 ruger pricetag and better performance or lower preasure.

its strictly a wildcat thing...no comercial success with this idea but it IS possible AND cheap thumb

boomy,
while the 375 AR would probably outperform the 375 ruger, it's not enough to justify the cost of the wildcat, to me

Who needs a 375 besides the original,if you want more power you have the 416!If I am not mistaken the 416 with 325gr bullets has the same trajectory as the 300WM.

it is fer shure not for everyone...

the only reason to have one is if you have a 7mag and a 375 wildcat itch...
