While watching a hunting show on the tube I heard reference made about a 30 cal built using 500 J brass. Has anyone else heard about this and can you send me in the direction of more info? Thanks, Frank

If it’s just a necked down 500 Rimless Jeffery, maintaining its body length, it would be one “BIG SUCKER” at 146 grains H2O.

I can't see it gaining much over the 30-378 weatherby, other than doubling the price of brass and buring your barrel out even sooner. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

Unfortunately there wasn't much or any info made. I thought it to be a rather unique combo. Frank
