Ok.... Based on 240WM case to resemble minature .300HH with beautiful fit&function in StdM98..or SmallframeHagn. Yes; -more costly parent case to start with... -more costly specialised dies and reamers.... But well suited for the Eccentric guy who desires minature scaled princess to compliment his PlainsgameQueen.300H&H. Spoil yourself why dont you!!! Reduce original .300H&H dimensions to 88% of original size, tastefully round them off a bit and Presto!: .375H&Hx88%= At rough calc, about 85% cap. of .338o6, So probably offer about 100fps less than .338/06, Conley cart.33806 loadings .330H&H:250gn@2350, 225gn@2550, 210@2650 anyone???

Woodjack, that is a good idea! Seriously, I like it!! Except for the nickel plated brass, a bit too "preppy".

How cool would this look on a 98 Mauser, 21" barrelled Mannlicher stock with DST's? Can we get together on reamer and dies? My preference is 6.5mm, but we could have it cut for 7mm, chamber those barrels and dies, and then have it re-sharpened to 6.5mm Can I get an "Amen!!" from the congregation? Rich DRSS

Friends- Woodjack, beautiful idea! Do you have a reamer for this? I am like Terry/TC1, that mini-H&H in 6.5 would be a Princess, no doubt. May the wind be in your face and the sun at your back. P. Mark Stark

Id be satisfied with the 6.5mm version. No reamer as of yet. Id be interested in getting together to have reamers done at some stage. Lets find out who as a whole is interested & the costs(any ball park guesstimate figure$ ?). ..Maybe we can make it happen. Probably have reamers TiNitride coated, just so they are not worn out by the time they get to me. Rich/IdahoSS, do you mean something similar this M98 mannLicher I think it would go well in a G33/40. Amen, Rich!! I held a 300 H&H case, my only thought: "I GOTTA GET A RIFLE FOR THIS"!!!!!!!!! Now that looks slick!!!!!!!! I'm deffinatly willing to forgive the belt. The 264 H&H will have to wait a bit. (Been doing a lot of planning since joining this group of gunaholics!!)

I'd chip in for use of this one! I'd say get it in 6.5 , with a removable pilot, you could put a 7mm pilot on, then neck and throat later. I'm a 6.5 man myself. Make sure the rougher is of case sizeing diamentions for the dies.

Friends- Ditto what TSJ said; I'll chip in for part of the cost of the reamer. That said, IIRC, there was a .275 H&H magnum (a 7mm variant) and I don't think it was simply the .300 H&H necked down, however, I could be wrong. Does anybody have a picture or drawing of same? It would be interesting for comparison purposes, if, for no other. May the wind be in your face and the sun at your back. P. Mark Stark

The .26 Rimless Belted Nitro Express(1921) and the .275 belted Magnum (H&H)(1911) are of the same base configuration as the .300 H&H and the .375 H$H. IMHO These were well designed usable cartriges that fell through the crack. The .275 was somewhat reserected in the form of the 7mm Rem. Mag. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! HERE & NOW I MAKE MY STATEMENT OF INTENT: I am willing to go in on a 20% total cost share for reamers and dies. That means four more of you daydreamers need to post an "I'm in..." and get this dog and pony show on the road. That mannlicher stocked rifle by Dressel is exactly what I am talking about, nothing less. Rich DRSS Okay now, put your big boy pants on and let's go to work.

quality cart will headstamp and form the brass up to 66mm in length for 300 min order or $500 if you have 5 players you could get 200 pieces a piece for $300 if my math is not fuzzy add $300 to the price of the project if you want a lifetime supply of brass if you shoot it on wild hair day (thats any day you get a wild hair up your @ss) if you scale the 300 up to a rigby casehead you would have a 338 version...now THAT would be fun! scale it up!!! its funny...if you do a scaled up the 375 h+h to the rigby casehead you would have a 400 version (411) or 10% bigger for those who love the 375 H=H qualities but want more oomph and smack down. but i guess the 416 rigby fills that niche i guess the magic here is to have the same trajectory with the same sd + bc bullets going either up or down. 577 BME 3"500 KILL ALL 358 GREMLIN 404-375 *we band of 45-70ers* (Founder) Single Shot Shooters Society S.S.S.S. I figure we draw straws for chambering order. Maybe, we can agree on one gunsmith to chamber all five barrels at the same time to save a little $$$? If we are okay to have CH4D do the dies, we can get a price break on five sets. Same with the barrels, if we order five and have them shipped at one time to one gunsmith we might get a price break there as well. Rich DRSS

I'd be in for that 20% number also. I also agree in getting C&H do the dies as I've had very good luck with their custom stuff, and yes I know some of you out there havnt. I just happened to spot a 240 Kynoch case on my shelf today..... It is very close to the shape your proposing, so I measured the capacity to the base of the neck with several powders and came up with an average of 50 grns. I dont know about having the chamber cut by someone I dont know, and I already have a couple 6.5 blanks on hand. I have no problem at all being last on the list, so I'll put myself in that slot.

TSJ, we might be re-inventing the wheel here. Would you take it upon yourself to get us a CIP drawing? It it has already been done we might save $$$ on dies and the reamer. My thought is to just make my first forty cases out of Wbee brass. If we have that much fun, we can check into BS's brass supplier or someone else... Kynoch maybe? A Case-Gard 100 would be a lifetime supply, and Wbee brass should be available as long as they chamber rifles for it. We could do a group buy of 500+ and get a price break. My guess is under $200 apiece depending on brass and dies cost. Rich DRSS

nobody uses Clymers anymore do they? Dave Manson is a dedicated "tinkerer" and likes to be involved in this sort of work. He will work with us on pricing and the dies. We could send them direct to CH4D and have dies cut first, or the FL after all five chambers are cut to ensure it will resize all the brass to fit. With the dozen to fifteen wildcats I have designed or adapted, I bought the two reamer set so as to also have dies cut with them. He may have the original H&H specs, as may CH4D. I'll call him first thing in the morning, both of them and get some prices. Rich DRSS
