i think anything over the 358 sta is overbore...

the t rex is bigger i think...its a "who has the biggest gonads" rifle...too bad its 35 million years too late

the 500 ahr is a good round but the 500 mbogo makes more sense imnsho (in my not so humble opinion) salute

358 dakota or 358 a.r. please Cool

Over bore 358, yeah way too much! However in a bigbore it would make a nice low pressure cart. Loaded at 40,000 or less it would still kill efficiently with less tempurature variances. Also would ease up on the shoulder as well.
Did you get a chance to check out there other offerings? There .473 case head carts are close to a 9.3x66 case.

yeah, the 350 and 380 howell have impressive posted balistics but i think the 9,3x66 is a better option for factory stuff or just neck it up to 375. i like them though. they get the b.s. stamp of approval thumb

it'sa shame all of the datum line information is not there. This is pretty close to my 510KX and the 510 Wells (less the belt).

Rich,
you can throttle it back to 500 jeffe, or run it way in the heck past the 510wells, as it has a larger case than the wells, and i THINK (could be wrong) a hair smaller than the jeffe, due to the longer neck.

darn fine round, if I didn't have a jeffe already

Geez! That thing has 19 thou of rebate! It is certainly bigger than the .500 Jeffery because it is .144" longer and that extra is just about what it needs to make a caliber length neck, and load it out to Rigby box length.

Silly 500 AHR! You'd think they would have fully un-rebated the 500 Jeffery if they were going to that much trouble.

Yes, the 500 Mbogo would indeed be better. thumb

o.k. so there IS a need for a my idea of an unrebated 500 jeffe with a cal neck but the original jeffe length... Razzer

sofa

according to ken howell there is no rebate in his design

i like the idea of a non rebated cal length neck but original length thumb

trim and reform brass to have same same shoulder moved back at cal length and you will have a faultless fattie able to fit in a m98!!!
