Let me know how crazy this is or tell me if it has been done... The 45 GAP is a higher pressure round designed to duplicate the lighter to medium weight bullets loads of the 45 ACP in a 9mm 40 S&W OAL automatic pistol. Since the 45 GAP pistol/cart can take higher pressure and moderate to lightweight bullets it makes sense to neck the sob down to 40 cal to make if you will a fat 357 SIG. If the 357 SIG has a niche than the 40 Super-Short does too. Think of it as a 10mm power an a 40 S&W length. Some might think a 10mm power gun in such a small package might be crazy and I partially agree but the gun world is a place for crazies. So shorten the 40 Super dies to the brass length of .850" for a power package par excellence. Turn a compact easy carry 45 GAP gun into a stopper with a barrel swap KABOOM! 577 BME 3"500 KILL ALL 358 GREMLIN 404-375 *we band of 45-70ers* (Founder) Single Shot Shooters Society S.S.S.S. Boomer you're losing your mind with this one Boss!!! Take a look at a Glock 29. It takes full power - full size 10mm loads in a palm sized 10 round little pigster! It's easy to control and it's very bad for bad guys.

OK... poll so far is one against. Sometimes you got to throw yer wild hair ideas out to the people who know what they are doing to see if you are crazy or not... this place would get boring if people did not do these kind of things. So if there is a niche for the 375 SIG and 45 GAP why not this? 577 BME 3"500 KILL ALL 358 GREMLIN 404-375 *we band of 45-70ers* (Founder) Single Shot Shooters Society S.S.S.S. (Founder)

the 40 already works, in a 9mm frame. and most folks cant shoot it well, at full power,,,, there's nothingm to improve, and the gap doesnt do anything better than the 45 l..... and i am a 10mm shooter... wjy arent we all shooting 10s? because very few people can tolerate it not a great one opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? I don't know about that tolerance, but I in some weird way like to shoot 500 S&W Mag. At the first time that recoil was something crazy. Then it changed to manageable and know it's fun to shoot. I don't have one on my own, but I shoot S&W sometimes at the commercial range. Buying ammo is pain because of it's price, but still fun. Without Horst Grillmayer we wouldn't have 9x22 Major and that way 357 SIG, so please, try that 40 SS.
