Wildcat -
6X47 (.222 Mag version - a very easy wild cat)
.30 Herrett (one of the worst wildcats too)

Not in name but in reality a wildcat/orphan-cat as chambered in modern single shot rifle.
40-65 Win
38-55 Win (SAAMI standards need re-engineering)
50-70 Govt.

worse than a wild cat - orphan-cats
6.5X50 Arisaka
6.5X52 Carcano

Much worse than a wildcat
6.5X53R Dutch Mannlicher (orphan feral cat)

Only the ones I have developed from scratch:

.375/.338 Lapua Magnum aka 9.5x70mm Tornado (Germans beat me to this one, I found out afterwards.)
400/.395 Nitro Express 3-Inch "Aboriginal" aka 10.03x75R
.395 H&H
.395 Ruger Max
.398 Lapua Magnum (.395/.338 Lapua Magnum)
.395 Tatanka aka "40-07" (a .395/.416 Rigby with 20-degree-shoulder)
.423/.416 Rigby Improved Plus (20-degree shoulder) aka "404 RIP"
.458/.338 Lapua Magnum
49-Bore/.500-caliber/.338 Lapua Magnum Improved of 2010 aka "49-10" aka 12.7x68mm Tornado (Co-development USA-Germany, RIP and 2RECON)
500 Mbogo 3-Inch aka "50-08"

My latest project: To duplicate as closely as possible the .375/404 Jeffery used by our host here, Saeed Al Maktoum.

The original specs of this cartridge are lost in antiquity, except for a record of reamer neck diameter of 0.408".

My reamer, now under construction, will have a neck-2 of 0.408" and a neck-1 of 0.409".
The throat will be the ultimate accuracy throat of the Dave Manson .375 Weatherby reamer,
similar to the CIP 2001 specs for the .375 Weatherby.
It has proven capable of 0.132-MOA for three shots at 100 yards, with the .375 Weatherby.

Here is the best hope of a resurrection of this cartridge, for us masses:

The .375/404 Jeffery Saeed of 2012 aka ".375-2012" Wink

I like the unusual so I also have 358 Win.

Speer, Sierra, Lyman, Hornady, Hodgdon have reliable reloading data. You won't find it on so and so's web page.

"...I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprize, and independance to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks."
