I've had 223 WSSM and I never cared for the 6mm calibers either. Speed is not the primary incentive for this project, I have the 30 RAR and it works great.

There was a neat little case called the 240 Madam based on the 25 or 30 rem.It would be easy to neck down.

Sounds to me like you just re-created a .22-250? The .30 RAR and .22-250 have very similar case capacities.

Ok not the 30 Remington but the 30 RAR parent case. Sorry
I think this would be cool as a bunch of bullet diameters.
The 180 to 225 grain 338 and 35 bullets would be a good mid range thumper.

I think the 22 cal has real potential. I'm also going to play with a 20 Cal version, but I will shorten it and neck turn it.

I think you about 60yrs too late on this one. HA Donaldson built the 219 Wasp in the 1940's based on a shortenned blown out 30-30 case, he also made them on a shortened 30 Rem case for rimless actions.

Dimensions are completely different, one is rimmed the other isn't. I"ll be simply resizing 30 RAR Cases to .22 Cal and turning necks.

Why not save yourself the trouble and chamber for the 220 Russian? You'd end up with about the same thing.

My bad! Im not much of an AR guy, too much hands on experience in the late 60's. I had the SPC and AR case demensions mixed in my head.
