This will be the name of my wildcat cartridge.

It will be a 8mm based upon the .404 Jeffrey case , trimmed ,necked down and its neck will be altered to resemble something different.

Bullet weight will be from 170 too 250 grain bullets.

Powder will be Norma /Vihtavuori and other powder that will work. I have thought making two versions, one for standard mausers and one for a magnum mauser, with C.O.L. different to suit them equally.

Cool

Well the connoiuseurs choose 8mm for their appreciating of the rifles. This is a very good diameter and with Swift, Woodleigh and other good bullets, it is now what it should have been many years ago.

sounds like a large improvement over the 8mm PMM (8x338winmag) .. and able to get 8mm remmag vels with lower pressure.

i would suggest using RUM brass, which is CHEAP and if you use the 300 rum, a nice case capacity...

or, at least, set it up to use either brass
