i cant help but like this idea...
basicly a 338 a.r.
338 rum brass in 330 dakota dies with win mag shell holder in a 338 win mag gun.

costs for a 338 win mag gun are only a ream job and dakota dies with a little feed work.

375 h+h/ruger power.

i like the idea of shooting the heavy 338 bullets 275 grain a frames and 300 grain woodleighs.

no name for it right now Big Grin

yes but you can save $1 per piece of brass and not have to open the bolt face.

its all about marketing...338- bear smasher, alaskan/african, insert native language name for animal ect...

you dont call a ford pinto a never date momas boy car...no you call it zippy and fuel efficient... animal

yes it is a "poor mans 330 dakota" but "poor mans" whatever do well Wink

its like geting the dakota at a fraction of the price... the only advantage over the 338 a.r is the ability to use the looong 338 bullets.

did you change your mind? are you going to make a 338 a.r.? i think just shortening the 338 rum dies by .1" would be easy and keeping the same body taper.

maybe it sould be called the pmd for poor mans dakota Big Grin its all how you market it you know Big Grin
