using the 22-250 reamer and making a 6.5 neck out to 2" would be great...a long neck 260 rem

also making a long neck 6.8 spc is a neet idea...shoot 6.8 spc factory ammo or long loaded spc brass and a long neck version made with 25 or 30 rem brass...make it 2" long!

short action...option of factory ammo and decent balistics.

Roger,
Very true regarding the 35cal, just wanted to use the extreme to show that the 22/250 case isn't lacking capacity even for potentially a 200gr 35cal projectile. It woudl be a stretch though wouldn't it?! Big Grin

If the US is anything like Australia ... despite the "Winchester's closing buying frenzy" there are still very cheap WSSM rifles hanging about ... and they'll be there a long time!! The cartridge just may have a good application as a short/lightweight 270WSSM?? Still like the 22/250 case better though for ease of availabilty!
Cheers...

Not at all! my 9(.358) X 41mm (1.625") handles 200 and 250gr. bullets just fine. The 250 gr. can be pushed over 2100 fps.

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..
