PH: Len Taylor
Camera Man: Doug King
Rifles: Heym 88B Safari 470 Nitro Duane Wiebe 500 Jeff Take-Down
Area: Chewore South
Dates: March 1st though March 14th 2010
Game Taken: Elephant Bull, Buffalo, Hyena and Two Baboons.

I have now sent out 70+ video's to the AR community. If you would like to have a copy please post in this thread and the memebers will forward you the copy I sent them.

I am not much of a good writer like many of you here so I have thought up something new. I had this hunt filmed so instead of typing up what would be a poorly written report we have made up copies of the video that I would like to send out for free. It was an exciting hunt which includes two buffalo charges. We had and unfortunate incident with the camera, right before the elephant kill shot he accidently buttoned off. Still I think it is a nicely done video that I think others will enjoy. I have sent this video out to a few members on AR to get their take before posting this up and their responses have been positive.

The only thing I ask in return is if the requests for the video exceed the copies I have made up that you will forward the video to the next person on the list. Please PM me your address if you wish to receive a copy.

If someone would like to post some photo’s for me please email me at macjenkins@comcast.net and I will email them.

I am hoping that by doing this others will do the same. I think a lot of people have video’s made that would be a ton of fun to get an exchange going. The few good African Hunting programs that are on TV does not keep me satisfied throughout the year and I would love to see other’s members video’s.

Thanks,
Mac

Wow... put me down for a free video as well! I look forward to watching your hunting adventures, especially with the Wiebe .500 Jeffery!

I will happily pass it on after viewing!

And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.

A buff of a lifetime. Old, worn and with a great drop. Elephant with a great story, too!

But, you'd better be careful. The dude puts burning tapers in his beard and I understand that you need to be careful if you're sailing with gold around the coast of Georgia. Big Grin

Kidding aside, I had the pleasure of hearing up close and personal about the hunt while awaiting the dreaded flight from JNB to ATL. It's kind of like I've read the book and now get to see the movie. Can't wait!

I'm eager to see the video. Good guy and I'll bet a great rainy day to cure the "awaiting safair blues" !

Without AR and Saeed, I'd never have had the chance to know our modern Blackbeard. This site is a wonderful gift from our host, n'est-ce pas? I can't count the folks I've met (and hunted with) as a result of a pretty nice fellow from Dubai.

Thanks, my friend.

Very nice trophies. interesting that the one side of the bull looks so much shorter in the river photo yet looks closer to the same size when standig upright. I have been told several times if you took the smaller tusk and put it next to the longer one on the outside that it would longer and if you reversed them, the longer would look longer. Seems to be true and I guess is all in perception of length so maybe the case in the way these look. At any rate, a very nice buffalo and elephant. Will should be proud. I would like a video as well. Will PM you.

The question about the shorter tusk. It is about 15" shorter. I think that photo angle while still in the elephant makes it look bigger than it is.

Watched the vid this evening. Well done... man talk about a green hell! That bush was thick! And the buff letting you basically walk right by before you spotted him at three meters was too cool. Did he charge when he figured you gents were on to him?

We think we woke him up and then he stood up right when we were on top of him. He charged us the first time just as I was squeezing the trigger. We were all floored that he did not break out the back side of the brush, instead he came straight at us….

OK we have sent out the last one of this last batch of video's we made up. So I would assume that we should have adequate video's out there to the AR community. 50 went out in the first batch and then another 20 this week. So hopefully they will get shared around. I think it would be easiest if members would still like to get a copy to just post it in this thread, then when they recieve a copy to edit your post to say you have recieved it.

I remember your request Bobby. I put additional postage on the package per your request. I have never mailed anything to Canada, and would think it takes additional time to reach you? We have not received it back or anything so I would guess we just need to wait a little longer until it makes it to you. Sorry for the inconvenience.
