Keith and Bongi are a good pair to walk behind on a wounded animal .... As was said, good decision by Keith to wait until the next morning. Congrats on a good cat.

Already I was beginning to fall into the African way of thinking: That if
you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on
the animal's terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the
day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely
killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed
because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always
recapture the day - Robert Ruark

Thank you.
Bad luck it moved the head in the Last moment so my shot missed the perfect middle of the chest.
I needed to shot as it was already no light and Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
What hapoened clearly shows what DG is and how important is to be fitted and focused.
It is not a game, this is real hunting.

Wow, My heart was pounding just watching. My follow-up was very similar with Alister Norton. Followed for an hour or so into the night, then come back in the morning.

But, mine wasn't dead yet.

Kudos on your hunt.

Congrats on your fine Lion. I'm glad you found him after a tense night of waiting and wondering.
I presume that you also hunted other game on your hunt, including the bait animals .... ?
Thankyou for posting your video. A real hunt indeed.

Thank you for sharing. Thoroughly enjoyed the video. As someone who has had to follow up wounded Leopard at night, its no fun looking for big cats in the dark.
Always difficult to see on camera. How far was your blind set up from the bait?

The blind was around 100 meters from bait.
The problem of the shot was the little sunlight left and, mainly, that the lion just moved his head down at the very moment of the shot, which made also to move my aiming point just pulling the trigger.
The shot hit it on the left side of chest and exited at beginning of abdominal cavity.
