I will post details later, but here are some photos of my recent hunt in Zimbabwe/Dande North.

USA was a mess of cancelled and missed flights and lost luggage. Jo'burg was a mess of lost hotel reservations and waiting two days for lost luggage.

Zimbabwe was perfect in every way (except for my shooting anyway).

It looks like you had a great trip. The tigerfish had to be a blast. I finally wet a line my third trip to Africa. Always wanted to catch a tigerfish. I swear, my first cast, I caught one. Granted, it was all of 12", but it was a tiger.
All the big ones after that hit like freight trains, launched like rockets and threw the hook. I never did land a nice one. But what fun!
We'll be looking forward to a full report. It had to be interesting getting into buffalo in those reeds.

Looks like the second buff was shot in the face. I'm guessing there is a story behind this guy. bewildered

Congrats on a great trip.

Looks like you had an excellent hunt! I have to admit that old, worn-down buff is my favorite!!! What a story he could tell of life in the Zambezi Valley...

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

I must have missed this post, Anyway congrats on the hunt..
I met Derk at Chewore a couple weeks later, he certainly is one of the GOOD PH's and would not hesitate hunting with him.
Ps, I also had problems with lost baggage and some poor shooting amongst some great shots.

Of all the places I have seen or visited, the Chewore North and Dande North are in the top two or three which I hope to see once again. It is always refreshing to see that others have continued the hunt in such fertile places.
