This bit of tom-foolery needs to be overturned. Reads like the start of a hysterical 50 cal ban to me.

O.K. for what it's worth. Here in Texas a few years back we had what was known as the "Blue Law".Basically merchants could not sell certain products on Sunday (+ we're not talking liquor).General consensise was "Fxxk em,they can't arrest us all."Merchants stayed open + they changed the law.I do understand the differences here as merchants bring in tax$$$ while we as citizens have much less clout.Just throwing this thread out there for others to ponder as well.

The 2A is not about self defense or hunting as the anti's paint it to be but for when the govt asserts it knows best at the cost of our liberty. This should be tossed out and let the people decide what is best for them.

It says either a restricted bullet or greater than 45 caliber. What are the restricted bullets to which it refers?

In the laws defense, are they worried about over penetration? A 500 S&W would certainly not be my CC choice for that particular reason.

Missed rounds are more of a problem then over penetration ever was.

I would like to hear of a case where a round hit the perp. Then went on through to hit some else.

By standers are almost always hit by rounds that missed their target.

P dog, during that recent incidnet in NYC where the cops shot that guy, and 9or 10 people in the crowd behind him, I belive the by standers were hit by both clean misses, and through-and-throughs.

I haven't seen any break down of the shots.

Do you have any ref or report of where the shots went.

Considering there was a large percentage of misses in that shooting.

It was from a news report, that I believe was posted on another thread. It mentioned how some bystanders were hit with complete bullets, and others were hit with partial bullets, giving me the impression they may of been through and throughs. Due to all the pending lawsuits, NYC hasn't been all that forth cominig with information.

I thought the partial bullets were from hitting the cement planter and side walk.

Possession of a Teflon coated bullet ie KTW AP will net you a felony conviction.

Thats real clear isn't it covers all copper type bullets unless they are design to travel at low veocity.

So if I drill out a JHP place a pointed steel core in it thats only 39 percent of the lead core by weight drive it at 2000 fps I still be ok.

Er, I hate to mention this but isn't Oklahoma a Red state ie. run by your buddies, not by the liberal, pinko, commie Democrats? What gives? Where is the NRA when you need 'em? There must be some rationale, but I guess whatever it is it must be OK?
Let me add that I am aware that this is not the PF, but I want to point out that consistency implies that we have the same reaction to "cop killer" bullets no matter who proposes it. Same with 50 cal bullets!
