Thought you might be interested in this photo I took of a wild dog down the Macleay River last week. I was about 300m away when I saw it first and paddled closer while getting the camera ready but then the dog spotted me. I whistled him and stopped for a while but then a head-wind came up and I had to paddle like crap (crouched down in the canoe), whistling, to get close enough for a photo of him. He got jack of that after a while and just as he turned to go I zapped this shot. I had to crop it pretty hard but it was a 3MB file so it turned out OK.

When he was standing there looking at me he had his tail turned up like a Samoyed dog.

This was in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park

Yep Steve - I have seen them like that, in that area before. Some very big and nasty - you wouldnt want to bump into a mob of them in the dark....

Cheers

Thanks. Nice thought that...

I reckon with my 375HH - anywhere from the butt of his ear to the white patch on his leg I could turn him inside-out with a 260gn'er Big Grin

Happy thoughts eh! Shame it's a National Park!!

Now with The Shooters Party 'in power' Big Grin in the NSW State Parliment and the NSW Game Council going ahead in leaps and bounds - the day when we will be able to hunt those National Parks is hopefully drawing closer! My cunning plan is coming together.... ahahahaha

It is certainly high on Shooters Party agenda.

Isnt it ironic.... The National Parks here are so infiltrated with those filthy bastard greens (hack spit)- They are happy to throw thousands of 1080 baits directly out of helicopters, into the Nat Parks to control these wild dogs and yet they wont have a bar of rec. hunters going in there to control them with rifles. The place is over-run too with wild horses and many pigs. esp. since they banned heli-shooting of them and in fact all shooting of horses in N Parks here since the NPWS 'fiasco' some years ago in Guy Fawkes NP.
