"Luck at Boole Poole" - a hog stag hunt

Seeing it is hog deer hunting season in Victoria again this April, I thought I would scan an article of a hunt I did back in 1995 on the National Park islands at Boole Poole for peoples enjoyment.

John, well written. I think that's the first trophy wild hog deer I've ever even seen a picture of.

I photographed my hog deer mount this afternoon so I could post some photos of it closer up, than what is in the article.

A touch over 14" this one ,G took one also that went a touch under 14,both stags with some weight too.

My mate saw the "big one" last week and couldnt get the right crack at him...he has shot lots of hoggies and swears the bigun is 18 plus...still shaking .....
