I have no desire to go to Africa,,, but I have always wanted to come hunt those Black grouse.
it's similar to hunting our forest grouse here, and the birds are a similar size, so I know what goes into this.

What sort of skis are using for this type of hunting. I imagine a back country ski with dynafit binding, plastic boot and skins is far too noisy?

Skis - cross country 2.4 m Forrester with a
simple plastic ipok bindings with a single leather ankle strap and nylon toe strap. One size fits all. Binding fits over the Douvre Extreme boots I'm using pretty well. More detail in the full report.

Cheers

I can’t wait to read the report.

I cannot, and will not ski of any type, but this method of hunting fascinates me.

I remover reading about hunting lynx by cross country skiing. I was wide eyed.
