Well, here it is folks wave, being tested by the builder(www.bijoucreek.com)!!A 4 minute video,a few short gaps, but check it out! Also,it weighed 8 1/2 pds when this was filmed, since then it ws reduced to 8 pds even Eekerw/o peep or scope...less than 9 pds scoped w/rings! Load is 145 Varget with 900 Woodleighs at 2100fps as per chrony Wink...this is in Colorado at 5000+ elevation,Velocity will be less at lower altitudes! We could load her faster Big Grin, but dont feel the need...yet! Big Grin Please notice that Mike is well less than 200 pds and doesnt have any problems(or tears CRYBABY) with it.This just goes to show you how effective a good brake can be thumb BOOM Also note the Woodleigh recovered from the lengthways drum full of water, perfect mushroom clap...Then some solids through the tree stumps! hillbilly The Backwards 900 Woodys are not meant for pentration, just awesome Shock transfers shocker...Cant wait to hit a Boar in the Gristle plate with one of those..Bison too!..maybe even Sasquatch troll

How Bout an Aimpoint 2moa red dot sight on the lott sighted in for 100 yards. Aimpoint are known to hold up under recoil and your Lott is a verrry modern gun so this would fit imho

Well Doc, he doesn't get tossed around. He does however obliturate a 5 gallon pail of water. Then knocks over, actually appears to twist a 55 gallon plastic barrel, filled with water. That one has to take a lot of bullet momentum!
He then shoots a 55 gallon barrel, plastic filled with water, laying on its side. He used a Woody 900 soft, it didn't go through, but caused a shock wave, which shook the barrel. Again that 600 OK has a lot of bullet momentum!

I shot Missippians 600 and I did not find the recdoil to be that bad, he will have to tell us what load I shot.

However, do not stand near him when he shoots a tree, as 2 cords of wood fly off the tree in large pieces and knock down all bystanders. Eeker

I will say that his 600 was put together very nicely.

Tony,
Going by memory which isnt very good at times I would say that load was 160-165 grains 7828ssc/900 gr soft. Since then I have been using 4350 without the X brake. BIG difference! Maybe I need to try some Varget. If he is getting 2100fps from the Rogue, no telling what I could get from my 22 incher! shocker

I have seen the video.
Invigorating! thumb

You do need to get some real bullets for it though, since that Woodleigh RNSP did not make it through one 55-gallon water barrel lengthwise. Wink

That is a WBT score of only 3.
The WBT will be a lot cheaper for future penetration testing of softs.

Better get at least 3 of the 55-gallon barrels lined up end-to-end if you test FN solids, or 8 to 10 of the 5-gallon water buckets for the Water Bucket Train.

Of course a 900-grain .620-cal Weldcore does make a lot of hurt for one barrel. I am sure it was completely blood shot throughout.

How about some red food color in a WBT for best video effect? Wink

"If he is getting 2100fps from the Rogue, no telling what I could get from my 22 incher! shocker"

How much velocity is possible with a 22 inch barrel? I know 2400 FPS is max with a 26 incher..???
It seems to me that a shorter barrel dont loose that much velocity in the .600 OK
But if 2300 FPS is possible in a 22" barrel.. wouldnt a 26 incher get more than 2400 FPS Confused

Sorry for my bad english!

Ditto...

Been working with H4350 myself...

150 grains with a 900 gr Woodie = 1975 fps out of my 20 incher...

Have not had a chance to incrementally step up the load yet...

But if he is getting 2100 with 145 gr of Varget out of 16 incher I may be wasting my time with H4350...

Cool Vid by the way...

Anyone know the particulars on that? Mine is pretty light--BRNO 602 with a 17.5"bbl (with a 2" long brake, I'm a wimp) and Richard's stock with the "lightweight" option weighs in at 7 1/4 lb. empty.

That sound about right. I'm getting 2040 fps w/ 155grs H-4350 in my 20"r. This is my best accuracy load to data with the Woodie 900's and WOW when it hits shocker

Pray for the cost of copper to come down to $2/lb. Then the cost of my cup point 900gr copper boreriders becomes affordable. You guys with the short barrels should see 50 to 75fps higher velocity with the same powder charge. Maybe a little more with Moly coating. So far the cost of Diesel and copper are the only benefits I see from the economic meltdown.-Rob

That one will surely put my 5.5 lb. 505 gibbs Imp. to shame..I shot mine twice before I sold it..It grouped 12 feet for two shots..one dead center in the bull and the second shot a called flinch, or rather a screamed flinch, hit the dirt half way to the target..I took it home hammered out the trigger guard where I warped it by jerking the trigger and sold that puppy! jumping

In it's original form my jeff was 5.5lb. That had to change! I'm 6'-4" and a touch over 300lb. and that was too much for me. The way it sits now is just right, but it has still claimed 2 black eyes and maybe a broken collar bone among my buddies.

The brake on mine wasn't really for recoil reduction, and it barely works for that, but more for muzzle flip. I "point" with the off hand, so I have a weaker hold. The brake I use just pushes the barrel down.

I would imagine that my jeff smacks me around a bit less than the overkill pounds you. If you're ever in Florida...

Not at all trying to be a showoff/smartazz,but I just dont understand how my "Light-Heavies" dont do all that to me?..Heck,my 4 bore was made by 55 year old tall,skinny,145pds wet Ken Owen and he made 5 of them and HE Regulates them all(Have pics of him doing so)...I guess some are more recoil prone than others?! bewildered I am 6ft,240 but I have heard that the heavier guys actually can get more recoil absorbed than the bantam weights...kinda makes sense...I DO Know that stock design is Really Important though as my 600NE Osborne double at 13 pds Kicks/HURTS way more at 1900fps loads do than my much lighter 600OK's do!...Granted,the lighter the gun,the more it has to kick(all else being equal)..But,if I had a shoulder gun that gives me black eyes and broken this and that,I would sell it too! Mad....I build light now to carry alot and I dont hammer all day long with them at the range, get them sighted and ready for the hunt, thats all...now and then a day of "plinking" at turtles, nutria and rabid trees!...Look at the video of Mike here, the smith who built the 8pd Rogue 600OK...He is a avg joe and handles it well..I know Most of ya'll like the 500s and above to weigh from 10-16 pds with 24-28" tubes!..."to each his own"...great range guns, but give ME the better handling shorter lightweights thumb
