I was given a 600 OK cartridge last week. It looks somthing fun to build, who carries brass for it? The loaded round is stamped 600-Overkill-RG, with JI at the bottom. Is this Jamison International brass? And does Jamison have a web site? I did a few searches for them and could'nt come up with anything.

I invented the .600 Ok and RG is initials of my name. It will boost a 900 gr bullet to 2400 fps. Its basically the last word in functional DG stopping power. AHR builds rifles in that caliber The original brass was made by Horneber in Germany but I have no idea where AHR is getting theirs made now. At least 20 .600OK's have been built by various gunsmiths. It's not for the timid!-Rob

It appears that Ed Plummer is getting some of his brass from JI. Just checked the last brass purchased from him, the .585 AHR which is the 600 OK, Rob's cartridge, necked down.

I would suspect that all further 600 OK brass would also be ordered through Jamison by AHR.

Thanks for all the replies, especially Robgunbuilder. Rob what actions have they been built on? It looks like it would fit into a 98 Mauser fairly well. I have a few 1909s and also a few Rem 30Ss.
Thanks, Shawn

SWD- I know they have been successfully built on CZ550s, GMAs and !917 enfields. I'd think a 30s would be just about perfect. I personally would not ever use a M98 even a VZ24 for this cartridge. You will need to go to a single stack mag no matter what.-Rob
