The specs on the rifle are Shilen barrel NECG front sight, rear sight on Davids island, N ECG barrelband. The safety is Ed Lapour and the trigger is a Timney. Talley rings and Leupold FX-II 2.5x20mm. David Christman carved the stock out of a Roger Vardy blank that was a very inexpensive one. It has an extra recoil lug on the barrel.

If that is a "really inexpensive blank" Ill take a dozen. I could use more cheap hunks of wood like that! Very nice on all the work.

Thanks Jeffe for posting this for me. The comments from this group makes it all worth while. This blank showed me that I couldn't tell a thing about it until it was carved. It was under $500 with shipping and wire transfer fees from Australia. David just received my blank from Roger for my 7x57 that he is starting. He said that it is at least half again nicer than this one. Yes, I paid more for this new one. I let Roger pick it out. I haven't seen it yet. Oh by the way, it weighs 9lbs.8ozs.

It is a CZ550 receiver. David filled in the hole in the bottom of the bolt knob.
