jeffeosso is taking on this project and i think he has a verrry generous offer of letting us use the reamers for free instead of renting them out to those who want to make one for ourselves. all a.r. people will be able to have access to the reamers so lets help him with the costs of the r+d...he needs to make the reamers buy the barrels, actions ect ect not to mention his time. lets support this endeavour after all it is the A.R. line of carts. i am sure he would feel supported and encouraged if all his costs are covered. i am suggesting $20 donations. pledge here by leaving a reply with your intentions thumb beer

so far we have pledges from me

I'm thinking the 470 will be capable of 2400 w/ 500's from a 24" tube, if one wants to load it to 65 kpsi, I figure the 45 will be capable of 2300 so loaded, maybe a tad more.

That said, I'm planning on a 22" tube and will be content with 2200.

I paypalled a few sheckles down South to help in the effort thumb

I forgot to mention one of the benefits of this design, since lefties have a darn hard time finding a full length mag action, it opens up their options greatly.

Dammm, boom stick,

Now you have me thinking about a BLR/450AR. If for no other reason than to jab at the anti-lever types on the African Hunting Forum. sofa There is no way that they can honestly claim 500gr @ 2200fps from a lever ain't able to take whatever you want.

Now how do you get a BLR to weigh 10lbs? bewildered

george...what do you think of the ar carts?
that was not a critique...

your capstick is great...this would enable more people to shoot a capstick like cart in a common action...it does not take away from the capstick, it is the benchmark.

more people would shoot big bores and you would have more people to moderate Big Grin

Start With one that comes chambered in a 300 Win Mag..Go pistol grip..there harder to find but your going to want the pistol grib..trust me ..Next we take a barrel blank .. you pick the company you like best for barrels..Go air gauge .. its just add's fuel to the fire under the "Africa forum boys" next have the barrel
turned to a 780 crown at 26 inchs<-which is were most of the wight comes in.
Next ..Its time to work on the butt stock..
no matter who says what .. you will need a super
upgrade on the recoil pad ..
to atleast a decelerator pad at the least
Your going to need a banded front sight
and a three leaf rear sight ..Midway has some of diffrent types And your going to want to add
a barrel band for that african look and for the
strap.. Your rifle should weigh about 11.8 Lbs
now..Happy hunting ..O ya you might want to add
a rear flip up sight to give it that ......
.."Real western look" ..and last but not least book your hunt the same time King Ray does
so you can rub it in .? someones face .. roflmao

Martin,

I like most of your ideas, but I would go with a ghost ring receiver sight instead. They are much faster for me and I can see more of the target/critter.

Well, if as posted above, you should have gone to the "Small Game Forum" with this story. Digital Dan and the boys there would have gotten a kick out of any cat getting hit with a 50-110. clap
