Just talked to a lady at Hornady. They will market 2 loads for the 404 Jeffrey in early '08.
Yippee!

Geez, do you think there would be a chance for a lefty in this process? clap

I'd sell my lefty, model 70, in 375, for lefty 77 in 404 in a heart beat. thumb

The 404 is a great addition to Hornady's line up and a logical progression from the 450/400. They are obviously maximizing thier tooling.

However, expect more "big bore" news from Hornady this year. thumb

Gents,

Talked with a salesperson at Ruger this morning and asked if Ruger was coming out with the 404 in the Hawkeye. Mentioned the rumor as to Hornady coming out with 404 ammo, and was told, at present, no 404's.
Let me further state, I was asking about LEFTHANDED Hawkeyes. Failed to inquire as to the possible right-handed offfering.

I inquired as to the making of a leftie for me and she stated that Ruger doesn't have a custom shop. She did however, ask for my name and phone number, and that I would be placed on a "wish for list" of buyers.

If you are right or left handed, you may also want to be put on the list. Might help in their decision making process in the 404's development. Who knows....

The phone number there is: 203-256-3860
