Hard not to buy it and put it away for a rainy day -- it would slot right in between my .375 and .458... ------------------------------- Some Pictures from Namibia Some Pictures from Zimbabwe An Elephant Story

No way could you duplicate that rifle for the asking price, even including your own labor. NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics.

I called the seller with my credit card in hand but he told me it was sold. So who bought it?

you guys got off easy, he called me and tried to get me to buy it so he wouldnt, I dang near did buy it, but when I looked at the 416 I have and all the project rifle parts, crap I have.....I talked myself out of it. Somebody needs to buy that, its not a bad deal, not sure what the front sight looks like and the rear is probably a marbles adjustable, but that can be changed to NECG. The gun looks to be reasonably done, I bet a guy could make it work. If I'd had a couple more coolaids in me, I might have bought it, bet then the day aint over with. It's Korean version of ZKK, if I remember correctly. You boys sure can sniff those guns out.

Not exactly. Les Bauska invented the bbk01 and 02, which are basically magnum mausers. He sold the rights off, and ventually these were made in korea, but for an american company... jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Rolland: The bolt release is similar to the Winchester 70, although a bit smaller. I bought mine about 1983 or 1984. It is a very early one, with a 2 digit serial number. It needed a little work. I sent mine to McGowan and had it barreled and the action worked for feeding. At the time McGowan said that all in all it was a very nicely done action. Olypic Arms (I think) are now selling this same action, but in a MUCH, MUCH rougher condition. Mine needed very little polishing, the newer ones look like they need to be surface ground before anything esle is done IMO.
